229 Parks Back Bar

This project was commissioned in 2005 by Laura and Land Cole. Their restaurant, 229 Parks, is a haven from the corporate tourism that dominates the Denali Park entrance.

The bar was designed and built by my friend Brandon McGrath-Bernhard, who has a small cabinetry and construction business in Fairbanks. The carved panels are basswood; the bar is cherry with a maple butcher block top.
