It’s here for real now. I was out running on my backyard trails yesterday and met the first dog team (pulling a sled, no less, despite having just a skim of snow.) Everyone involved looked pretty happy. Takes a bit more of the white stuff before I’m ready to break out skis, but the dogs are ready and watching.
I’ve been busy in the studio. The UAF museum film crew were great to work with and we wrapped up last week with a finished print – now they get to weed through the footage and try and make the process look exciting. Here’s the edition of the print “Nest.”
Also underway is a carving for a public art proposal (seems easier just to go ahead and do a carved sample rather than trying to represent it in a drawing)
and some small collages that involve the usual recycled print elements, but also some sanding and re-working that I haven’t done before.
Guess I’m staying out of trouble, for now.
